Excellence is our Goal
Servicing our community for 35 years.
Thank you for visiting Connie's Driving School. We are located in the Heart of Oakland New Jersey. Catering to the Franklin Lakes, Oakland and Wyckoff community. My goal in business is to keep it intimate enough for us to provide that personal attention in every aspect of the services we provide.
Being a parent myself, I truly understand how important the safety of our children is. Who we trust them with is very serious. We have that authenticity that gives us the ability to connect with the parents and the students, making the process a wonderful experience.
I am highly recommended and respected, not only for the commitment to my business, but also for taking care of my students the way I have always wanted my son to be taken care of.
I have had ample experience instructing students with learning challenges and with high levels of anxiety. We've made it happen! This will change their lives forever. I promise you that they will enjoy it, embrace it and be fully prepared.
Lessons not limited to teenagers, adults are welcome!
Please call me with any questions about what programs we have available to you. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you,
Connie Calderon
"At three o’clock the day before my son was scheduled to take his driving test we found out we didn’t have the car to take his test in.. I frantically started googling driving schools and Connie was my first call.. she answered my call I explained my dilemma to her and she didn’t hestitate to help.. she was able to accommodate my son after she took another student for her test.. I just want to say a million thank you’s to Connie for helping us on such short notice.. I would not have heard the end of it if I had to tell my son we had to reschedule his test! I would HIGHLY recommend Connie!! She couldn’t have been nicer and she saved the day!!! Thanks again Connie!!"
"I would highly recommend Connie's driving school. I recently called her because my daughter needed a car to take her test in as we had a last minute cancellation. Connie jumped into action and gave my daughter a refresher lesson (Connie is an excellent instructor of parallel parking) and provided a car for her to test in. It was all done last minute and she was more than happy to accommodate us."
"I highly recommend using Connie's Driving School! It was a great experience and she helped me feel more confident at driving. The six hours taught me a lot about driving. Before the road test, we went over everything again and I felt more confident and passed the road test first try yesterday!"
"I found Connie's Driving School on Yelp and I'm grateful I did. Having your son turn 17 AND taking his road test the same day is stressful enough. Connie put all our fears to rest. She was professional, polite, prompt and most of all caring. She provided my son with the proper instruction as well as her vehicle to take the road test. This was a very pleasant and stress free day all thanks to Connie. My son passed his test with ease."
"We used Connie for our 17 year old daughter. She made our daughter feel at ease and did a great job teaching her to drive. We had used 2 other driving schools for our children and Connie was by far the best. Our daughter passed her driver's test on her first try."
"My youngest child got her driver's license last week, thanks to Connie. I had decided to do the road test on our own....summer was going to be busy and we had a car with a hand break. At our first attempt, we showed up at the DMV at our scheduled time, but the insurance card was printed without a water mark (not an original document), so despite my begging, DMV turned us away and told us to reschedule. Because we were doing this on our own, we had to reschedule on our own. My husband went to the DMV in person, but had difficulty figuring out how/where to reschedule. He ran into an instructor from the driving school we used for her 6 hours behind the wheel. The instructor said they could handle rescheduling. A few days later, my husband called them to follow-up. "Nope. The instructor shouldn't have said that. You'll have to do it." Back to the DMV my husband went. He was given a new date and time from the DMV, but it was the same day our older daughter would be having her white coat ceremony in NC. They told him that the time didn't matter. That she could come at 8am to take the test (even though her road test appointment was scheduled for 1pm). So, that day came and it was the day after hurricane Ida hit. Connie was second in line waiting. We were 5th. She was kind enough to share information with the cars down the line that the DMV had just issued a delayed opening. And so they wouldn't be opening until 10:30. She offered to move my daughter up to her spot in line after she took her student through, and I left the decision up to my daughter. Despite being disappointed a second time, she didn't want to miss our flight to see her sister get her white coat. (As it turns out, the appointment time is NOT flexible). We were distraught, frustrated and stressed. Connie immediately offered to help. She handled rescheduling the road test appointment, took my daughter out for refresher drives and built up my daughter's confidence to be successful in her test a couple weeks later. Sometimes it seems like the whole world is on edge and the smallest gesture can get everything back on track. That's what Connie did for us."
